OHS POLICY

Mining (crushed stone production facility) activities within the DOĞANLAR structure of companies include sale of engineered aggregate as specified by customers, and production for DOĞANLAR’s own construction activities.

All of our employees, subcontractors and suppliers are obliged to comply with safety and health regulations,in particular the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331;At DOĞANLAR, we are the physical and mental health of our employees is our top priority.

We are fully compliant with all legal and international safety regulations. We strive to meet or exceed customer requirements in the facilities and sites where we we operate.But, safety is always first, and in fact is good for business. Safe work environments require the participation of all employees. To achieve this, DOĞANLAR provides employees with continuous training todevelopa culture of safety in the workplace. And, the basis of this culture is the Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

Under this policy, DOĞANLAR,

• Strives to prevent possible work accidents,
• Strives to eliminate the dangers that may arise from our work activities, determining and applying protection parameters by reducing health and safety risks,
• Organizestraining activities for employees, all 3rd party companies, and related parties, to effectively implement and fulfillthe full range of Occupational Health and Safety practices
• Strives to achieve these goals by planning measurable targets for continuous development,
• Trains our employees in the field of Occupational Health and Safety and ensures that they have a keen awareness of occupational health and safety philosophy,
• Complies with all legal requirements, and provides for the basic well being of all employees.
• Strives to detect near misses, and eliminate occupational accidents and insecure/unsafe situations and movements and possible accident risks by conducting an effective risk assessment in advance ,in the workplace.

DOĞANLAR further undertakes,

• To ensure full compliance with international regulations, national regulations and DOĞANLAR standards.
• To provideall employees, suppliers, subcontractors and visitors in our fields of activity with the necessary skills and competencies regarding occupational health and safety through information and training programs.
• Our slogan is simple:“PEOPLE FIRST!” Our principle in this regard is; “ANY BUSINESS OR SERVICE CANNOT BE SO IMPORTANT, OR ANY EMERGENCY SO URGENT THAT WE WILL NOT FIND THE TIME TO MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKPLACE.”

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

DOĞANLAR evaluates the interaction with the environment of all its services and products from design to production to final delivery to the customer.

The following methods are applied in order to minimize negative effects on the environment:

• We identify and manage environmental risks.
• We take a proactive approach; we take precautions to minimize environmental impacts in a timely and complete manner.
• We determine what our actual environmental impacts are.Top management sits down weekly in a special meeting to review any impacts for that week, and take measures for improvement.
• In order to prevent environmental pollution, we work to reduce, reuse or recover pollutant waste at its source.
• We identify methods to prevent harmful environmental impacts at source and implement them to ensure the continuity of the benefit.
• We comply with all environmental laws and other requirements.
• In new investments and projects, we first determine roles, responsibilities and authorities of infrastructure, technical, finance, human resources and commercial entities. We aim for full compliance with all environmental regulations by sharing knowledge and experience across business lines.
• We use technology that does the least harm to the environment, monitor environmental developments, and ensure its sustainability in business practices.
• We create and implement our environmental standards on the basis of legal obligations and enable our employees to develop environmental awareness.
• Focusing on continuous improvement ,we ensure adoption of a sense of environmental awareness and protection of the environment by sharing it with our employees, customers, suppliers and society. In order to increase environmental awareness, we develop training programs according to employees’ needs.
• In order to continuously improve our environmental performance, we adopt a preventive approach in all of our activities. Similar to our safety practices, we document “near miss,” so that we learn where environmental impacts that almost happenned can better be avoided
• We ensure that the instructions, evaluations and forms prepared within the scope of the environment are reviewed and updated periodically in line with the laws, regulations, developments and needs.
• We regularly determine new environmental targets and actions to achieve these targets.
